FP4 and FP5 replacement feathers offer unprecedented safety improvements and innovative new benefits. These interchangeable feathers are constructed of high density EVA foam and improve feed control, protect wood, and protects you and your tools in case of accidental contact between the feather and the blade. When pressure is applied, plastic can mar or affect the porosity of some woods. In addition, plastic does not absorb vibration like the EVA foam feathers. A better cut, more control, and added safety. EVA feathers simply deliver a better cut than plastic could ever offer.
